Artificial Reefs Converted from Retired Platform Jackets proven to help restore Thai marine ecosystems

The development of undersea artificial reefs in Thailand has been ongoing for over twenty years, resulting in new coral reef ecosystems in several sites. Modern artificial reefs are based on a variety of material, each producing different outcomes. The use of retired platform jackets as artificial reefs (“Rigs-to-Reefs”) is an innovation, the first placement of which was carried out at a site near Koh Pha-Ngan, Surat Thani.

Chevron activates Transfer Support Center and signs four agreements with PTTEP ED to prepare for safe transfer of Erawan

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (Chevron) confirms the readiness for the Erawan handover on April 23, 2022. The company has set up a Transfer Support Center to enable a smooth and safe transition, as well as has signed the Deed of Novation and Amendment of Erawan 2 Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (E2FSO) Bareboat Charterparty, Pattani Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (PFSO) G1/61 Access and Service Agreement, Joint Utilization Facilities Agreement (JUFA), and Operation and Maintenance Support Agreement with PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited (PTTEP ED).

“A Journey Inspired by The King” Project’s 9 years of work achieve widespread recognition in applying the King’s philosophy & local wisdom through any crises in the long run

“The Power of Human Energy: A Journey Inspired by the King” Project wrapped up its nine-year operation (2013 – 2021) with astounding achievements, from creating like-minded volunteers, networks, and learning centers as planned to successful showcases of collaborative farming session or ‘Aou Mue’ activities at various pilot lands that attracted substantial audience and interest. The project brought the Philosophy of the Late King and local wisdom to practical use in 22 watersheds nationwide; it generated awareness and excitement among different stakeholders to join forces, resulting in policy changes.

Chevron and Partners Execute Telecommunication Agreements to Support a successful IT transition of Erawan

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (CTEP) and PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited (PTTEP ED) recently reached telecommunication agreements with National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) and True Move Universal Communication Co., Ltd (True Move H) which will support the transfer of Erawan operatorship to PTTEP ED in April 2022.

Chevron continues its commitment to safely transfer Erawan by signing Site Access Agreement 2, Operations Transfer Agreement, and Asset Retirement Access Agreement with PTTEP ED

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (Chevron Thailand) and PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited (PTTEP ED) recently held a signing ceremony of the Site Access Agreement 2 (SAA2), Operations Transfer Agreement (OTA) and Asset Retirement Access Agreement (ARAA). The agreements will foster further cooperation between both parties in relation to the transition of Erawan which will be handed over to PTTEP ED, the new operator of the field, in April 2022.

Chevron and SPRC present fuel cards worth 2.35 million baht to rally support for medical frontliners fighting COVID-19

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited, Chevron (Thailand) Limited and Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) are committed to supporting Thailand on the path to recovery from the COVID-19 crisis under the “Chevron powers COVID-19 relief efforts through fuel card donation” scheme. All three companies together contributed CALTEX StarCards worth a total of 2.35 million baht to 21 hospitals and medical facilities in 7 provinces across Thailand including Bangkok, Chonburi, Rayong, Chumphon, Songkhla, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Surat Thani. The campaign offers much-needed fuel to support public health and medical front liners in their transportation mission during the COVID-19 pandemic. These missions include the patient transfer to hospitals, ambulance services, active case findings in communities, medical personnel and equipment transportation as well as vaccine center operations.

Collaborating to strengthen One Health Education in Southeast Asia

Chevron and Chulalongkorn University’s “DOMVVI Vehicle” equipped with bio-detection dogs are gear up for the mission to screen COVID-19 cases in DDC’s communities

With rising COVID numbers and a spike in hospitalizations nationwide, it became clear that building herd immunity to block the pathway for the ongoing transmission of the disease and a timely mass vaccination drive in affected communities are the key tools needed in curbing the ongoing crisis. With this goal in mind, the “K9 Dogs Sniff COVID-19” project is introducing the “DOMVVI Vehicle” to support active COVID-19 screening in selected areas under the jurisdiction of under the Department of Disease Control. This follows research findings that show these sniffer dogs can bio-detect and distinguish COVID-19 patients with more than 96% accuracy.
