PSC for petroleum blocks in Gulf of Thailand signed, safeguarding Thailand’s long-term energy security
The Ministry of Energy's Department of Mineral Fuels (DMF) has signed a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with each of the contractors who won the 24th Thailand Petroleum Bidding Round for the right to explore and produce petroleum under the PSC regime in three exploration blocks covering a total area of 30,000 square kilometers in the Gulf of Thailand. This opportunity has not been granted for any undiscovered sites for the past 16 years. As the blocks are in close proximity to the fields previously approved for petroleum production, as well as active petroleum-producing fields, the new petroleum exploration is likely to succeed, thereby contributing to Thailand’s long-term energy security.

Chevron supports Songkhla Regional Observatory, carries on with promoting astronomy education
Recently, Songkhla Governor Jessada Jitrat presided over the opening ceremony of the Chevron Building and Multi-Purpose Open Space. In the event, he witnessed Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. hand over 2,739,986.27 baht to the Songkhla Regional Observatory for the Public.

Chevron, SEAMEO STEM-ED, and Education Ministry are poised to scale up Chevron Enjoy Science Initiative to enhance the nation’s STEM education
As a development initiative for the learning of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—or STEM, in a full-scale and measurably successful manner in Thailand, the ‘Chevron Enjoy Science’ project initiated by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. has been an exemplary ‘public-private partnership’ program aiming at strengthening Thailand’s capability through STEM education. With a total budget of more than US$35 million, the project intends to lay a solid foundation for the development of the country's competitiveness and innovation. Southeast Asian STEM Education Fair and Exposition 2023, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for STEM Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED) with Chevron as a major sponsor, serves as a platform for showcasing the initiative's significant achievements and paves the way for the advancement of STEM education at the national and regional levels. The event was attended by over 500 participants, including government officials, policymakers, curriculum developers, the project’s partners from many sectors, and youth from both Thailand and neighboring countries in Southeast Asia.

‘60 Years of Chevron: Together We Run’ Event Unites Thai Power, Donates Two Million Baht to Siriraj Foundation for Children with Genetic Disorders
Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. believes in the ‘the power of human energy’ and takes it further into the ‘power of cooperation’ to improve the quality of life for Thai people. As part of the commemoration of its 60th anniversary, the company continues to uphold sustainability in the society in every step of the way and has brought together the power of Thai people in a charity walk-run event called ‘60 Years of Chevron: Together We Run’ at Wachirabenchathat Park (also known as Rot Fai Park). The total donation of two million baht from registration without deduction of expenses, plus the company’s additional contribution at seven times as much, have been donated to Siriraj Foundation’s fund for children with genetic disorders.

NXPO – Teachers’ Council – SEAMEO STEM-ED – Chevron Collaborate with 10 Universities to Drive “STEP” for Enhanced Teacher Training & Up-to-Date Preservice Education
the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), the Teachers’Council of Thailand, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for STEM Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED), and Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Company Limited jointly launched “the Strengthening Teacher Education Program (STEP)”. Designed to set up demonstration sites for better production of teachers, STEP has already attracted 10 universities.

“Chevron Enjoy Science” join hands with associated partners to strengthen “STEM Career Academies” educational model and push “Smart Agriculture” forward to global industries.
Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co., Ltd. has brought together its partners from both the public and private sectors—including the STEM Education Centre of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO STEM-ED), Mitr Phol Group, and the Ministry of Education—and pledged over 12 million baht to develop an educational model for smart agriculture, as a part of the ‘STEM Career Academies’ initiative for the advancement of knowledge and skills in STEM. ‘Chao Iang Agri-Drone’, a drone innovation for agriculture, has also been handed over to Khon Kaen Advanced Agriculture Industry Technology College, an institution under the Vocational Education Commission. The educational model in conjunction with the drone is meant to serve as a pilot model to develop smart farmers, increase their competency, and expand on the knowledge in smart agriculture to elevate the agricultural sector of Thailand sustainably.

Artificial Reefs Converted from Retired Platform Jackets proven to help restore Thai marine ecosystems
The development of undersea artificial reefs in Thailand has been ongoing for over twenty years, resulting in new coral reef ecosystems in several sites. Modern artificial reefs are based on a variety of material, each producing different outcomes. The use of retired platform jackets as artificial reefs (“Rigs-to-Reefs”) is an innovation, the first placement of which was carried out at a site near Koh Pha-Ngan, Surat Thani.

Chevron activates Transfer Support Center and signs four agreements with PTTEP ED to prepare for safe transfer of Erawan
Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (Chevron) confirms the readiness for the Erawan handover on April 23, 2022. The company has set up a Transfer Support Center to enable a smooth and safe transition, as well as has signed the Deed of Novation and Amendment of Erawan 2 Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (E2FSO) Bareboat Charterparty, Pattani Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (PFSO) G1/61 Access and Service Agreement, Joint Utilization Facilities Agreement (JUFA), and Operation and Maintenance Support Agreement with PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited (PTTEP ED).
