Chevron is committed to reducing carbon emissions from our operations while actively pursuing new partnerships and advancing technologies to drive continued progress. We’re lowering emissions from today’s energy and building the lower carbon systems of tomorrow. We aspire to achieve net zero scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050 from our equity upstream operations.  
 
Chevron collaborates with partners, businesses, government agencies, communities, and employees, guided by three strategic practices:
  • Clean Operations
    Systematically reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, employing advanced technologies to optimize production efficiency, and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Partnerships
    Working alongside government and private sectors including the Department of Mineral Fuels, Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization, Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development, and other partners. 
  • Organizational Capabilities
    Equipping employees with comprehensive knowledge and skills, fostering individual responsibility, and driving broader societal impact through environmental awareness and action.

To ensure a sustainable environment for the future, human energy is the essential driver for change.  Chevron continues our efforts to “Enable Human Progress” by promoting knowledge, awareness, and personal responsibility in environmental stewardship within communities, creating lasting impact.

  • Lower Carbon Biogas Rubber Project: Chevron in collaboration with Prince of Songkla University’s Energy Systems Research Institute (PERIN), successfully introduced biogas technology, solar energy systems and zero waste model to local rubber production communities. Converting wastewater into biogas for drying rubber sheets has resulted in “low-carbon smoked rubber sheets,” effectively addressing odor and wastewater issues from traditional wood-smoke drying methods among rubber farmers in Songkhla Province. By reducing wood usage by 30%, Yung Thong Cooperative saves approximately 130,000–180,000 baht per year, reducing carbon emissions by 425 tons per year, or 31%
  • Foster Future Forests Project: The project aims to restore 100 rai of the urban mangrove forests at Phra Chedi Klang Nam, Mueang District, Rayong Province. This project works to enhance carbon sequestration and biodiversity, employing scientifically designed restoration plans and fostering community awareness about terrestrial and mangrove ecosystems. 
  • Chevron’s Marine Ecology Camp invites university students nationwide to engage in marine science education, fostering conservation awareness and empowering future leaders committed to sustainably protecting our oceans.

Beyond our commitment to revitalizing the Old Town and preserving the region’s rich arts and cultural heritage, the Kid + Dee Historic Center reflects our dedication to nurturing creative learning and tourism. This initiative helps inspire future generations while strengthening local economies and empowering communities.
  • Khon Tai Yat Dai: The Promoting Psychological Wellness in Adolescents and Families in Southern Thailand” Project or “Khon Tai Yat Dai” strengthens mental resilience in daily life among youth and families by helping them create emotionally safe spaces through positive outlook practices.
  • Chevron Street Wise: The program promotes road safety awareness among students in Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces, empowering young people with knowledge and habits that help build safer communities.
Employee engagement is at the heart of how we operate. Through initiatives like “We Volunteer” our people are empowered to make a positive impact—contributing their time, skills, and energy to strengthen communities and build a better future.
