The Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, led by Pipat Jirapongpipat (center), Director of Production Sharing Contract Division, along with Kumphon Kumnerdsiri (2nd from right), Director of Safety and Environment Division, visited the SW Thuridur vessel at Songkhla Deep-Sea Port. They were welcomed by Ronnarong Chanleka (2nd from left), Vice President of Assets at Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. (COTL), and other company representatives. The SW Thuridur will conduct 3D seismic survey at exploration Block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand.

Recently, executives and officials from the Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, led by Pipat Jirapongpipat, Director of Production Sharing Contract Division, along with Kumphon Kumnerdsiri, Director of Safety and Environment Division, visited the 3D seismic vessel SW Thuridur at Songkhla Deep-Sea Port. They were welcomed by executives from Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd., led by Ronnarong Chanleka, Vice President of Assets. The visit marked the commencement of 3D seismic acquisition campaign at exploration Block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand. The 3D seismic survey plays a crucial role in exploring oil and gas resources and the prospects generated from the survey will help prepare for exploration well drilling.
 
In 2023, Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. was awarded the right to be a Production Sharing Contractor of Block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand. This reflects Chevron’s continued commitment to advancing safe, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy exploration and production, supporting Thailand’s energy security.

The executives and officials from the Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, visited the 3D seismic vessel SW Thuridur at Songkhla Deep-Sea Port, along with executives and representatives from Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. The SW Thuridur will conduct petroleum exploration using 3D seismic methods in Block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand.
