Patimoh Sadiyamu, Governor of Pattani, presided over the handover ceremony of an ambulance and medical equipment. Kumphon Kumnerdsiri, Director of Petroleum Technology and Operations Supervision Division, representing the Department of Mineral Fuels, and Pornsuree Konanta, Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd., jointly handed over the ambulance and medical equipment to Dr. Rustha Saleh, Director of Pattani Hospital. The contribution aims to enhance the hospital’s capacity to respond effectively to emergency medical situations in the area. Also present as witnesses were Sanan Santimeung, Deputy Governor of Pattani Province, Vaderrama Mammingshi, Chairman of the Islamic Committee of Pattani Province and Anket Leelapaiboon, President of the Pattani Provincial Fisheries Association.
Recently, the Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, in collaboration with Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. - operator of petroleum exploration block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand – and BCPR Co., Ltd., a Bangchak Group affiliate, the block’s coventurer—donated an ambulance equipped with essential patient care and emergency rescue equipment, along with four additional medical devices to upgrade existing ambulance equipment at Pattani Hospital. The total value of the contribution exceeds 3.6 million baht. Patimoh Sadiyamu, Governor of Pattani, presided over the handover ceremony. The contribution aims to enhance the hospital’s emergency rescue capabilities, enabling patients to receive timely and accessible medical care.
Pornsuree Konanta, Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd., stated “Pattani Hospital is the only large general hospital in the province and serves as a key medical center for residents of Pattani and nearby provinces. As a representative of the partners of petroleum exploration block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand, we are pleased to hand over this ambulance and essential emergency medical equipment to help strengthen the hospital’s readiness and capacity to provide timely emergency assistance to the public. We would like to thank the Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, for supporting and approving this project.
The handover included an ambulance equipped with essential emergency rescue equipment, along with four emergency medical devices to replace outdated equipment in the existing ambulances. These devices included an infusion pump, a suction machine, a syringe pump and a transport patient monitor. Chevron worked closely with the hospital to procure high-quality emergency medical equipment tailored to the hospital’s needs. The ambulance was designed and equipped in accordance with the requirements of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine. Additionally, it features a lighting and sound system that complies with relevant laws and regulations, and it has obtained the necessary licenses.
