press release Chevron and Partners Execute Telecommunication Agreements to Support a successful IT transition of Erawan

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (CTEP) and PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited (PTTEP ED) recently reached telecommunication agreements with National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) and True Move Universal Communication Co., Ltd (True Move H) which will support the transfer of Erawan operatorship to PTTEP ED in April 2022. 

NT and True Move H have been telecommunication network service providers to Erawan (Concession Blocks 10-13) which is currently operated by Chevron Thailand. Under the agreement, NT and True will continue their subsea fiber optics and 4G services at Erawan when Erawan is transferred to PTTEP ED, the new operator of the field, on April 23, 2022. 

When PTTEP ED becomes Erawan’s new operator, the company will utilize the majority of existing equipment that are in place, which will minimize risk of disruption to operations, serving the best interest of the Kingdom of Thailand. CTEP will continue to provide some IT support for a short duration to PTTEP ED post 23 April 2022 to safely support this complex and multi-faceted transition effort.
