Unity is the Power of Thais in the face of the pandemic
Dr. Wiwat Salyakamthorn, chairman of World Soil Association and advisor to the Agri-Nature Foundation, said that “we have adopted His Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej The Great’s well-known quote, ’Unity is the Power of Thais,’ as the working motto in the planning and implementation of A Journey Inspired by the King project throughout the past eight years. The Late King’s Philosophy provided guidelines for the management of soil, water, forest, and human resources for our survival through any crises, be it environmental, social, economic, or political crisis. The followers of His Philosophy can survive any crisis with their own resources and can share or sell the homegrown products to generate extra income. The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted all of us. Therefore, it is important for all of us to apply the King’s Philosophy to truly create a self-reliant lifestyle which will pull us through this crisis and any crises that may happen in the future.
Accelerating the adoption of the King’s Knowledge with new media
Artit Krichphiphat, business support general manager, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., added, “Over the past eight years of A journey Inspired by the King Project, more than 20,000 people across the country participated in our activities, causing a chain reaction, as many others were inspired to follow the Late King’s footsteps through our communication campaigns. This year, A Journey Inspired by the King project will step up our role to spread the knowledge and real-life application of the Late King’s Philosophy with on-ground activities and new communication platforms to raise public awareness and understanding the Late King’s Philosophy as a means to survive any crisis including the pandemic and to inspire them to follow path to self-reliance.
