Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Limited (COTL), together with MISC Berhad, recently held a naming ceremony for the new Floating, Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel, “Benchamas 2,” in the state of Johor, Malaysia to strengthen Chevron’s operations in the Gulf of Thailand and to better supply long-term, safe and reliable energy for the kingdom. About Benchamas 2

Benchamas 2 will feature the latest storage and offloading technologies, safety systems and environmental safeguards. The vessel has a cargo capacity of over 117,000 cubic meters, or about 650,000 barrels of oil equivalent. The new vessel will replace the current Benchamas Explorer FSO to support long-term, safe and reliable production at Chevron-operated Benchamas field in the Gulf of Thailand.
